In North America alone there are approximately 400,000 Jewish college students. The vast majority of them are destined to assimilate into the non-Jewish society in which they live. Many of these college students date non-Jews and, with the intermarriage rate at over 52%, often intermarry.

The overwhelming majority of these young Jewish adults who marry out of the faith do not do so because they actively dislike Judaism. It is simply a consequence of ignorance, apathy and assimilation. Our enemies’ long awaited wish to annihilate our people may be accomplished by our very own apathy and inaction.

Eliyahoo College Outreach Network is a national effort now underway to correct this situation. It has been formed by a group of capable, caring and energetic outreach Rabbis and lay leaders. A plan of action is in place.

The Eliyahoo Network has already successfully achieved great results with hundreds of students from all across North America’s universities. Our Maimonides Jewish Leaders Fellowship has established branches in 26 colleges throughout the U.S.A. and Canada, impacting multitudes of bright and enthusiastic young Jewish future leaders. We are now ready to expand our efforts.
